Portable Greenhouses - Temporary Structures - Articles Surfing

If you are in the market for a greenhouse but you don't need a permanent structure, you can buy a portable greenhouse that can be built and taken apart quickly, sometimes even within one half hour. These types of greenhouses are perfect for seasonal growing in warmer months for harsher climates, or sometimes for year-round use in more temperate ones.

Usually, all you need to do to put up or take down your portable greenhouse is to extractr the anchors hoding it down at each corner and then collapse the sides and roof up, securing them to put them away. Another advantage to portable greenhouses that if you live in a cold climate, you can use them in the summer and then remove them and put them into storage for the cold winter months. Then, just take them out and put them back up when spring rolls around again. It also removes the need for you to build greenhouses that have to endure powerful winds or to be buried under mounds of ice and snow, for example.

Don't Want to Walk Far? Put One Up Close to Your House

Portable greenhouses can be put as close your houses you want, so that you have easy access to electricity and water when you need to tend to the plants inside. You can also relocate the portable greenhouse easily to where the sunlight is the strongest by using various locations. For instance, you may need to move it to one place in the fall months, when the sun is strongest at one location, and another place in spring and summer months when the sun is strongest in a different location.

Choices in Portable Greenhouses

There are many portable greenhouse kits on the market, or you can build them yourself from scratch. You can also use them to cover "in ground" traditional gardens outside when necessary, to protect plants. You can protect fragile plants both from temperature changes and from harmful UV rays if necessary with them.

Portable greenhouses can be as inexpensive as a few hundred dollars, and when rolled up for storage, take up very little space. To find one, go to your neighborhood nursery, or look on the Internet to find out what your choices are. A portable greenhouse both prolongs the outdoor growing season for most plants, such as tomatoes, and can sometimes be used year-round for certain types of plants in some locations, as well.
