How-to Cut Your Expenses By Shopping At Thrift Stores - Articles Surfing

Just about anything you can think of can be bought at a discount at a thrift store. Perhaps you have never visited one. If you are interested in reducing your household expenses, enjoy hunting for bargains or perhaps you are an ebay seller, you'll find great value in your local thrift.

Here are a few good buys I have found at thrift stores in my area:

Like new brand name clothing-95% off retail-
New clothing- 80% off retail
Bestseller list books(never read) - 3 for $5.00
Wall prints (limited edition)- $5.00
Old software- (ACT contact manager, $2.00)
Vintage books- One resold on ebay for $30.00, we paid $1.00

Not only that, but you'll find bargains on tools, household items, electronics, video games, dvd's and much more.

If you need to reduce your household expenses, why buy at retail for items that do not necessarily need to be new in order for you to gain benefit?

If you are an ebay seller, stop scouring the internet for "wholesalers", build a relationship with a thrift shop in your area and you'll have a great source for ebay items that will
have a much higher profit margain than buying from bogus wholesalers on the internet.

Tips for shopping at these stores:

1. Visit more than one store in your area. Get to know what the different stores in your area have to offer, what they specialize in and what they don't. That way, you will have a good idea where to find a particular item when the need arises.

2. Ask for a deal. If you are a frequent shopper or are making a large purchase, ask for a deal, there is no harm and all they can do is say no.

3. Buy during the off season. Consider making off season purchases when demand for these items is very low, you'll often find a better deal this way.

4. Bring your list. Perhaps the store you are visiting does not have the item you are looking for. Give a copy of your list to the shop owner or manager and request they give you a call if an item matching your description becomes availible.

Now that you know about the incredible buys you can get at thrift stores, visit one in your area now. You'll enjoy a new shopping experience and cut your expenses at the same time.
