The Day After You Give Up

After you give up and surrender your cause
The world will never end, not even pause
For one in a second. The bud that has refused
to bloom, won’t freeze the blossom in on if it choose,
It wilts, it shrivels, in ugy, slow death.

The day after you give up the sun will shine
Still. The moon and the stars shall tantalize
In your demise, you will still breathe, you will
feel the heat in little burns and tiredness.
You’ll fall in rugged, scrapping, tortous crest.

The years after you give up, the world still does…
Continues. Things go on, children grow and
fire aglow. But not you. You die every day
While breath still linger you. Yet with nothing
To speak for, the shame will kill you. Gradually.
