As a woman, there are few things I appreciate more than a good skirt. Formal skirts are perfect for special occasion such as weddings or even proms depending on how they are worn. Sometimes, these designs are simply for looks, but other times, a skirt can actually have added support to hold in tummies or reduce the leg wobbling of larger legs. Support and good looks. There are a wide variety of formal skirts available on the market today. Some are sold separately, and others are sold with suit sets or in pairs. There are form fitting and sexy, or there are full and luxurious. Depending on your need, you will find there are a multitude of choices allowing you the elegance and/or sassiness you are looking for when it comes to your new apparel. Laundering your formal skirts is done in one of two ways ' self-laundering or dry cleaners. Generally, you will find the instructions on the label or tag. However, you will not always want to follow those instructions. For instance, if you had the skirt altered, you will need to consider the alterations completed in the whole equation. Beads and lace may not be easily laundered at home without ruining the alterations. Taking the whole picture into consideration will insure you get the cleaning you need without harming your garment.

Even finding a good dry cleaner has its own set of issues. Will the cleaners be capable of providing you with services that insure the safety of your garment? It is suggested you either stick with a cleaner you trust, or you thoroughly interrogate a new one. Ask questions. You will find out quickly whether they are the cleaner for you. Also, it is advised you alert the cleaner to alteration you may be concerned about that may not go noticed. In addition, point out spills and spots that need to be treated before the professional laundering.

Of course, once you get your formal skirts cleaned, you will want to be sure you are aware of the proper way to store the garment. For mine, I like using a dry cleaner bag. These are easily purchasable from most dry cleaners and will be great for wrapping the garment until it is needed. You can also purchase clothing storage containers that will do the trick as well. Once they are wrapped appropriately, you will want to insure a smoke free and pet free environment.
