A man will have many special women in his life to buy Valentine's Day gifts for, but the women in his life will have gift giving needs of their own to assign their attentions to. Everyone will seem to be quite busy in the house when they hear that Valentine's Day is right around the corner.

Children will know exactly where to go in a hobby shop to get the items they need for their special Valentine's Day crafts. The section that holds the scrap booking crafts is visited by children of all ages. There is always a marvelous assortment of stickers on this aisle and children can choose heart-shaped stickers in a variety of sizes. Other stickers will be perfect for the custom frame they are creating because the golden swirls that look like vines will frame their Valentine's Day gift perfectly.

There are various candle kits in a hobby shop too that will allow Valentine's Day to be remembered year round. The rich red colors offered in candle wax can be turned into a heart that will light up the heart of anyone who receives it as a Valentine's Day gift. Some candle wax can be used later in the evening on a bottle of Chablis that the happy couple drank with dinner. Every colored trail of wax that makes it way to the end of the bottle will be a memory-making event that will be long be remembered.

Some of the best gifts that are received on Valentine's Day are those that are made my little hands. A child might select an unfinished box for her Valentine's Day project of love. The child might choose special words of love to adorn the top of the box and write it with an indelible marker. Those words will be seen everytime the Mother opens her favorite jewelry box. The child will put a lot of time into gluing felt into the bottom of the box, and then they might ask Dad to install a shiny brass lock on the side.

A large heart can be placed on the top of each box, and the children can paint with lacquers or paints of many colors. Every finished box will be a unique gift for someone they love and will hopefully be used at work where the boxes can hold items that will be used everyday such as paper clips and push pins. Some children might choose to create paperweights as a Valentine's Day gift with colored hearts painted on the side.

Some children will be satisfied to buy craft paper while in the hobby store because so many things can be created with it. The littlest ones at home will think about what to draw for their Mom and will decide on creating a personal greeting card for sure. The parents will go through the store buying gel pens, and pens filled with colored inks that span the rainbow. Then they will search for pots of paint and brushes that will make the colors go on smoothly. Some scissors will cut shapes into the paper and others will used to round the corners. The Valentine's Day card when finished will be one that a Mother is sure to love.
