Make Your Own Gift Basket - Articles SurfingGift baskets are great gift ideas. They offer a lot of flexibility and variety in a gift and don't require an extraordinary amount of thought. But many people don't realize how easy it is to make you own gift basket for someone. Here's a list of what you'll need to make it happen. Items that you'll need: 1. A basket or some other container Using a basket is pretty self explanatory and if you do choose to use a basket there are a bunch of stores that will carry them (craft stores, department stores, etc). Also, consider other possible containers to make a more unique gift basket. Some good examples, a toolbox, sand pail, a clay pot or a fishing tackle box. Be creative. Depending on whom the basket is for you might be able to think of other containers that would work well. 2. The gift items For the basket's gifts you can do whatever you want. If you're making a themed basket then try to stick to the theme, if not then put whatever you want in the basket. Often times it's a lot easier to assemble a bunch of little gifts for a present and a gift basket can bring them all together in one package. 3. Cellophane wrap, ribbon and cardboard shred The final thing you may need is some cardboard shred (available at craft stores) to fill in any holes between the gifts. Finally use some cellophane wrap and ribbon to package the basket in a professional and attractive manner. Just place the basket in the center of the cellophane and fold it to the top of the basket and then tie it with the ribbon. Above all be creative and enjoy the process of assembling the perfect gift basket for whomever it is that you're making it for.
