Are LED Truck Tail Lights Here To Stay Or Just Hype? - Articles Surfing

Trucks are the big bad wolves among the road animals. As cars tend to get cuter during the last decade with fruitful lighting technologies, trucks established a firmer stance of getting bigger to get better. However, the advent of LED lighting technology in trucks put them closely with car designers.

LED light products for trucks have gone far and wide in application and design. LED lights can now be installed in the underbody of trucks just like cars, while they continue to replace generic bulbs found in headlights, brake lights, and strobe lights. LED lights strips are also extensively used in running boards to increase the visibility of the truck from its sides. All of these are designed with style and safety in mind.

The tail light for trucks uses the current LED technology. LED stands for light emitting diode, which is a cheaper, more efficient alternative to incandescent, halogen, and xenon lights. LED lights do not emit much heat, making them less of a fire hazard. They pack an almost eternal lifespan that most LED distributors offer lifetime warranty for these bulbs. Its power requirement is negligible that there are LED bulbs designed to use less than one watt. LED lights can also be configured to have deeper colors which are essential for safety during night driving.

LED tail lights are a great lighting tool for trucks that are continuously modified. This LED running strips are placed in the rear of the truck that essentially serve as a multipurpose replacing rear lights. Some LED tail lights can completely emulate different rear lighting tasks such as braking, signaling, and even reversing. Other LED lights can be digitally controlled to provide a more aesthetic value by dishing out patterns and pulses that can react to the beat of the music.

The LED tail lights for trucks can be installed easily without drilling a hole to your truck rear. Most are made specific to the make and model of truck, and are direct replacements for the stock tail light assemblies. There is also tailgate led strips that can be mounted with self stick tape or other waterproof adhesives that will keep the lights in place.

LED tail lights serve your truck in the long run as its saves time and reduce operating cost. Standard LED tail lights are highly resistant to shock, vibration, and high temperature. They also take up a range of seven to fourteen volts and draws only less than one ampere. These are usually available with different sets of reflectors built in with each lens.

If you are looking to rev up your truck with a complete upgrade of your tail lights; or if you are just looking to replace your busted tail light, there is a wide array of LED products that can help you balance design, flexibility, and practicality. Just remember that tail lights are a very essential part of your truck. Be wary of any compromise made between design and safety. Ensure that you are fully visible from the rear and from every other angle. Safety is always a first priority when replacing your tail lights.
