So how can you make money using private label articles...what's the big secret?
There is no big secret, not really. It's so much easier to edit or draw inspiration from an existing PLR article, than it is to write a brand new article from scratch.

Just a sprinkle of imagination, and a little bit of effort and you've got yourself some unique content, which you can use in a number of different ways to make money.

Here are some simple ways to profit from using private label articles...

1. Use PLR Articles As Content For Your Websites Or Blogs

The most widely used way people use private label articles. If you already have a website for a particular niche market, you can add PLR articles for related topics, to help increase the volume of articles on your website. Alternatively, you can use the PLR articles for the majority of your site content, and add your own or ghost-written content to compliment them.

2. Create a Unique Report That You Can Sell

If you have a load of PLR articles for a specific niche, go through them and extract all the top tips you like. You'll then have a nice little report containing all the best tips and advice, which you can sell.

It may be true that the same information might be found for free on some other websites, but it takes people time and hassle to go and find all that. So don't be afraid to charge people for what you've put time and effort into creating.

Useful Tip: To increase the 'perceived' value of your report, you should create a report/eBook cover image for it. You don't necessarily need to create one of those replica book images. Even just a flat, rectangular report cover image will do the trick.

Amazon is a good place to see what I'm talking about. Take a look at any book title on there, and you will see flat cover image for every one.
Although you are not selling a physical book, it will often help your conversation rates if you have a nice looking cover image to display.

3. Create a Unique Report That You Can Give Away Build Your List

Along the same lines as above, expect instead of selling the report, you can use it an incentive for people to subscribe to your opt-in list or newsletter.
Just because it's free, doesn't mean you shouldn't make it good, quite the opposite in fact. You want to give people a good first impression when they join your list, so it's important that even the free stuff you give away is worth their time.

4. Drive Traffic To Your Site With Article Marketing

More traffic = more profit for you! One of the best ways to get traffic is to submit articles to article directories for syndication. Website owners looking for content will republish your articles on their websites, giving you and your website more exposure and traffic.

With each article you submit, you can attach your author bio or resource box. This is where you can promote your site, and provide a link back to it for readers to click on.

IMPORTANT: NEVER ever submit an unchanged private label article to an article directory for publication. Every good article directory will just reject your article, or worst still ban you as an author.

They are looking for new and UNIQUE articles, not a load of duplicate PLR articles, that dozens of authors have already tried to submit. If you are going to submit a private label article to an article directory, it must be substantially different from the original, not just one or two lines altered here and there.

5. Use PLR Articles For Newsletter Content

If you are building an opt-in email list, which I strongly recommend you do, you will need content to send to your subscribers. If you just send people ads and promotions, they will eventually just stop reading or unsubscribe.

Private label articles are a great option for this. You can break up the articles into smaller tips, or publish them as they are. Both options will provide you with lots of useful content for your subscribers.

I also recommend that you try and match up the topic of the PLR article with the affiliate product you are promoting in the same email. You will get more clicks and sales if your email content leads nicely into the product you want them to buy.

6. Convert The Article To Audio

You don't just have to use private label articles in their basic text form. You could read out the article yourself, and convert it to audio format. Many people like to listen to audio recordings on their MP3 players, or in their car after burning it onto a CD.

You could also use the audio version of the content as an extra incentive to subscribe to your email, or even offer it as a bonus or 'up sell' for a related product your are selling/promoting.

7. Create a Podcast

Podcasts have become extremely popular. If you create audio versions of your PLR articles, you could create a Podcast, and make it available on Podcast directories like iTunes. This is a great way of getting more exposure and traffic for your website.

8. Create And Sell Physical Products from Your PLR Articles

It's well known that physical info products usually have a higher perceived value, than the exact same information in digital format. To take advantage of this, you could publish the reports and audio recordings you create as physical books and CD's.

There are lots of services online these days where you can create very small quantities of physical eBooks and CD's. So you don't have to worry about buying huge stocks. In some cases you can just get each product made to order.
