How To Build A Solid Link Network That Will Increase Your Search Engines Ranking Tremendously - Articles Surfing
If you want search engines to love your web site and rank you high then you have to have a solid link network. Link Building is time consuming, frustrating and most of the time confusing, yet unavoidable. Because ultimately, it's still the trump card for higher rankings. Link popularity is a strong factor in your quest for getting a higher ranking in the search engines results and a higher rankings means more traffic and ultimately, more sales.
This means that you are going to have to spend a lot of time learning where and how to place your links. First of all, you need to know how the link system works before you start doing link building.
Pretty much what link networking is, is where a site places your link on their site, and that usually means that you have to place their link on your web site too.
The way that links works is that they act like a vote for your site to have a higher ranking. So let's say that site one has a link to site two on it, then site one is giving a vote to site two to have a higher ranking. So for the most part, the more links you have out there, the higher your ranking will be.
However, there is something that can get in the way of your site ranking when using the link networking approach. First, you have to know that you can not just go out there and place links to your site all over the place. This is because the site that you are linked to must have something to do with your web site. We call this: Link relevancy. Increasing your link relevancy & popularity leads to higher search engine rankings and also provides a steady source of targeted traffic.
So let's say you have a web site about video games, and you link up with someone that is talking about cars. You are not going to get any link relevancy that way. Actually in the end, if you place your link in a whole bunch of spots that the search engines do not like then it could hurt your ranking. Avoid garbage links that have nothing to do with your site.
You need to make sure that the site you link up to is also a high quality site. If you have a nice site and you link up with someone that does not then that could hurt your ranking. When we are talking about high quality we are not talking about pretty pictures. We are talking about quality and unique related content, and if they just randomly added keywords all over the place, not only is that not going to help them, it's not going to help anyone that is linked to them.
If you wish to build a strong network of links keep in mind that quality is always better than quantity.
