It is also a known fact that the Chinese lunar calendar is the longest chronological record available today, dated back from 2637 BC. Well, everyone wants to have a picture perfect future, so why wait! Let's get predictions done through Chinese horoscope. The Chinese lunar calendar is divided into twelve months of 29 days each. In fact, every two and a half years, an intercalary month is added to adjust the calendar. The addition of this month every third year produces the lunar leap year. If you are still confused with the working of Chinese calendar then, you can always refer to the beginning of each lunar month, which is also the date of the new moon marked on the western calendar. Interestingly, one cycle takes 60 years to complete and is made up of five cycles of 12 years each. In fact, the Chinese horoscope is predicted through 12 symbols that are based on animals. Interestingly, there is also a legendary tale behind the making of Chinese calendar: Twelve animals were assigned to each of the 12 years when the Lord Buddha summoned all the animals to come to him before he departed from earth. As a reward, he named a year after each one in the order that it arrived. First came, the rat, then the ox, the tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, rooster, dog and boar. Hence, we have the twelve animal signs of today. Well in the Chinese horoscope, each of the animal signs also referred as the twelve earth branches are combined with the five main elements. These five elements form an integral part of Chinese horoscope and without each of them no prediction is complete. These are wood, fire, earth, metal and water. Hence, these elements play a significant role in our life. Through Chinese horoscope, one can have conducive and controlling effect on his or her life because of the interrelationships of each of five metals. For example from metal, we get water, here is reference is that a metal could be a vessel for holding water, so we can conclude that metal traps water, but it could also mean that when the metal is heated it turns into a liquid and vice versa. Therefore, we can say that none of the metals can be called strong or weak. In fact, they are forever dependent on each other and are equal too. Thus, Chinese horoscope does not limit us, instead teaches us how to move ahead with the times and if our present methods do not meet with success, then it teaches to reach our goals by taking new routes.
