Lap Band is inflatable, silicon, prosthetic device in which a round silicon device is connected to the access port through a tube. Some post Lap Band Surgery complications which you may experience are nausea, vomiting, gastroesophageal reflux, stoma obstruction, constipation, dysphagia, diarrhea, and abnormal stools. A common occurrence for patients who have undergone Lap Band Surgery is regurgitation of some of the non-acidic swallowed food from the upper pouch, which is commonly known as productive burping. This should not be considered normal. All the post Lap Band Surgery complications can be treated later. Patient is required to see doctor regularly.
