Affiliate Marketing: Abcs To A Dream Come True
Okay, so you've studied up on ways to make money online, and you've decided to go with an affiliate programme.
In order to wring every last drop of sustenance out of whatever work at home opportunity you've chosen, there's one piece of advice the experts repeat over and over: Do your research. Read, read, read.
In other words, read before you jump. Too many poor souls, dreaming of freedom and fortune and dazzled by ads to make money fast online simply jump in with both feet and eyes closed. You can lose a lot of money that way. Look before you leap.
Let's make sure you have a handle on the basics before you sign up for a home business in affiliate marketing.
There are three basic ways to earn money as an affiliate, (the person who drives traffic to click on, and then actually purchase, a site's product):
1) Pay per click (PPC) affiliate marketing. You, the affiliate, get paid a small amount whenever anyone comes to your website and clicks on a merchant's link with whom you have made such an agreement.
2) Pay per lead. This is about the same, but used more for marketing lists.
3) Pay per sale. When someone "clicks through" a link on your site and purchases, you get a much bigger piece of the pie.
Of all the burgeoning ways to make money at home online, affiliate marketing is proving to be the most versatile, productive and accessible. In the past, (meaning just a few years ago), it was a much more complicated feat to make money online with an affiliate programe. Today, merchants and vendors tend to make it pretty easy for you.
Remember the basics of any good small business startup policy, and you’ll make mony online. Read, don’t jump. Do the homework your competitors shun. And keep at it, no matter what.
One day, you’ll be one of the pioneers who can honestly say, “I made my money online with affiliate marketing.”
