Your chances are better that you will succeed in your affiliate venture, if you are able to invest more in advertising and promotion. Those most likely to be successful with this type of business at home are those who are not only familiar with advertising and promoting websites, but selling as well. Those who have the most experience in all aspects of this type of business will gain the most success. That doesn't mean that someone who does one or the other cannot be successful. That means you should know about website advertising and promotion, and have experience in sales. You should also be equally familiar with the products within your affiliate program(s). For example, if you have no experience in politics, you should not join an affiliate program for a company that sells political memoirs. Knowing and enjoying what you are doing will help you do your best. That means knowing and enjoying the products you promote. There is no guarantee of success with this type of business venture. Unless you gain the knowledge and expertise you need, lacking these qualities assures ultimate failure.
