Article Surfing ArchiveAre You A Newbie To Affiliate Marketing? Part 2 - Articles SurfingHello and welcome to part 2. So, Now you're ready to choose an affiliate program to market. But, your head is spinning because there are sooooo many. I'm going to talk about some specific details to look for in the programs you look at. You're going to need to read, read, read and read some more. If you don't like to read, sorry, you better find a different job. You need to be informed to make good decisions and that means reading. Okay, here we go. Your Website, Commissions, Training, Residual Income, and Tier's of Commissions. What do these all mean? These are just the tip of the ice berg and very important to your success. A totally free and fully operational website is a must. If they don't offer this, move on. Do their features include a sales letter, a newsletter and an e-mail program? When looking at a program check the amount you will be paid as an affiliate. You are going to be working very hard, therefore, I suggest your commission be no less than $25. Then find out when and how you get paid. Training is a must for Newbies. Check out their training program for length and content. Some programs offer training videos and step-by-step mentoring. Be sure you are getting support staff, hopefully 24/7. Sign up for their newsletters. The newsletters offer lots of helpful tidbits. Take advantage of everything they offer. Residual Income. Yummy! Residual income is the continuous income after the initial sale. You get paid month after month, time and again, as long the customer continues with your program. You absolutely want to get in on this type of commission. A Tier 2 commission is when after bringing another person into the program, you make commissions on what that person sells. It's time for you to go out and find the program you want to work with. When I talk to you again in part 3, we will look at goal setting and really getting to work so you can start making money. Good luck and read, read, read. All rights reserved. Articles may be reprinted as long as the content remains intact, unchanged and links remain active.
