Inertia Is The Enemy - Articles Surfing

Ask any marketer and they'll tell you the two hardest tasks you face to be successful. Getting started and acting consistently. It sounds so simple that most new comers tend to dismiss this advice is true. If you want to be successful you can't act like everyone else, this means you must get started and then from that point take consistent action.

It seems ridiculous, but the truth remains most people who answer an ad for an Internet Marketing or Network Marketing opportunity will never even get started. The reasons for this are legion. They might just talk themselves out of it saying 'This won't work, I can't do this, I've been ripped off again.', never mind the fact that someone obviously made it work when they sold to them. Others suffer from what has become to be known as 'Analysis Paralysis', these are the people who have spent the past 3 months since they bought into an opportunity looking at every possible angle, reading about every possible fault, taken out 12 books on marketing from the library, but they haven't acted. They haven't talked to one person, picked up the phone, sent an email to a good friend or even posted one classified ad. If you want success you must take action even if it's the wrong action you'll find it's easier to change direction to get where you want to go when you're moving than when you're sitting still.

The next important thing is consistent action. This means finding what works for your particular business, and if you're in Network Marketing your sponsor should be showing you this, and doing it over and over again on a scheduled consistent basis. You MUST have a list of action to take on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis. If you don't plan out when to take action to get where you want to go, then you're not going to get there any time soon.

For beginners fighting inertia can be difficult. They want to start, but aren't sure how. My suggestion is if you're new to marketing, then look for a program that will take you by the hand. Look for a mentor who will spur you to action and lay out a step by step plan to keep you acting on a consistent basis.

Inertia is a drag on everyone and everything you do. The only way to fight it is to keep moving and keep acting consistently. If you don't act consistently you'll find yourself slowing down, than eventually stopping. A stop marketer gathers no money, no success and no feelings of content.
