Pay-per-click advertising is an advertising technique that goes hand in hand with affiliate marketing. Any one going in for affiliate marketing would come across the term Pay per click advertising as it is the most popular form of advertising.

Today pay per click advertising is a multi-billion dollar industry that has millions of companies and thousands of different industries trying to reach the largest number of customers possible.

The sheer power of pay-per-click is illustrated through that simple fact. Also, the fact that you have the opportunity to reach millions of prospects, who could in fact turn out to be high paying customers, that you wouldn't have the chance to connect with if you didn't use search engine pay-per-click is also a vital truth.

When you are writing your ad you need to know what you are doing, i.e., you need to who you are writing for, what product you are promoting, what is target segment. What">All this is necessary so that people feel that they want to click on it.

Therefore knowing some marketing basics is a good idea. Let's look at a few some marketing basics that should help you to get some more clicks.

Marketing basically involves appealing to the consumer's emotions. You have to make the consumers feel like they really want the particular product or they need it in order for them to click on the advertisement

The emotional appeal is necessary for them to even consider looking at it and even to get them considering looking at what you've got to sell is not an easy task to accomplish.

It is suggested to use something with a call to action. Using words such as register, buy, etc. are usually a great idea.

It is also suggested that you learn a few headlines. A headline is used basically in copy but it is all about catching the reader's attention. If you can learn to write good eye catching headlines and then put those into your pay-per-click ads you can translate this into a massive amount of clicks.

Always remember that when someone sees their exact keyword phrase in an ad they will almost always click on it. This is a trick that works every time without any failure. So here is the trick to doing this. Whenever you are writing the headline of your ad put this {Key Word: Your Keyword Phrase}. Any keyword phrase that you are using will do. By doing this, whatever keyword the person searches for will become the headline of your ad. Also you need to make sure that both the K in key and the W in word are both capital.

Also in addition to everything else you need to test your advertisements. Split testing is the best and safest method of testing. You can't go wrong with slit testing.

Ultimately, it is all about practice, a little hard work and patience.
