Private Label Rights Content - Do Disadvantages Come With The Package? - Articles SurfingWhen a fresh batch of PLR content comes to me, either through a membership site or an Internet Marketing offer, I have one immediate constraint: time. The sooner I can produce quality modified (new rather than original), the better chance I have to reach the market quickly. Why? I'm not the only one getting this content. Since I'm new, I can't yet afford to have unique, focused PLR content written just for me. There are at minimum 100 other marketers using the same material to make money. I need to make my offering stand out from the rest. Obvious steps are changing the title, the content cover, and adding or replacing illustrations. This is simply cosmetic work, however. I want to do more than sell this one PLR product. I want the buyer to be so satisfied they will choose my next offering automatically. Reorganizing sections of the material, a word here and there, adding keywords; still not enough. I need to be honest in my rewrite, paying attention to what the original is saying. Is the information current? Are there portions I or a buyer might find objectionable? What benefit am I offering to the buyer with my information? As a newbie, I'm going to be depending quite heavily on all the free advertising I can get. Article directories are looking for original not PLR content in submissions. I need to establish creditability among buyers and other marketers. This can only happen over time and with a constant stream of article submissions published in article directories. Establishing a good reputation also requires that I provide accurate, beneficial information. Until I build a backlog of original articles to submit regularly, I now have two tasks to complete; almost simultaneously: *write compelling articles for submission to article directories And the clock is ticking. There are more experienced marketers out there who have made a science of this process; my competitors. Establishing a creditable presence in Internet Marketing using PLR content has the additional drawback that a very small number of marketers appear to be in pursuit of the quick dollar rather than return customers. Much of their PLR content has been changed just enough to qualify as new, and sold. As a result, there are times, the Internet Marketing niche is glutted with multiple versions of PLR that has been modified so much that it might as well be regurgitated pap. It's just about as useful, too. Consumers are tired of looking at PLR offer clones and are not buying. Smart people! Unfortunately buyer perception is shaped by the actions of a few. This is another drawback the conscientious, ethical marketer faces in convincing buyers that they are being offered a quality product. This is where an established reputation helps. Something I, as a newbie, have not yet achieved. I'll examine some of the ways to shorten my learning curve in the next article.
