Contact Lenses For Beautiful Eyes - Articles Surfing

For many nearsighted women, contact lenses are their most important beauty accessory. Many women say they just don't "feel pretty" with their glasses on. Although many women think of eyeglasses as a fashion accessory, women who have to wear them all the time relish the freedom contact lenses can provide.

Women who wear contact lenses need to be careful when applying makeup. Because of the high water content in a contact lens, the lenses can easily absorb colors and odors, and the stains can be permanent. Because makeup can get on your hands, you should always put your contact lens in first before applying your makeup. Close your eyes before spraying hairspray or perfume-and wait until it has dissipated before opening them again. Be especially careful when applying mascara. Remove as much of the mascara from the brush as you can before applying so that it doesn't spatter onto the surface of your lenses; if necessary, you can reapply to get the quantity you need, but it's better to take the cautious route. If makeup gets onto a lens, not only can it stain the lens, but it can also make your eyes uncomfortable.

Colored contact lenses can really be another kind of makeup. The colored contact lens can be used by women without vision problems, but also comes in corrective strengths. The contact lens colors that are available can enhance your natural eye color, or even change it completely for a dramatic change in your look. You'll find that changing your eye color may also let you wear a whole different color palette of clothing or makeup.

Even if you don't want to change the color of your eyes, a contact lens with a tint may be good for you. One type of colored contact lens has what is called a "visibility tint," simply to help you find it if you drop it. Others lenses have a subtle tint that's made to protect your eyes from UV rays.
