Visit Your Dentist For Evaluation Regularly - Articles Surfing

This might sound like a crazy joke but sadly the truth is that it can happen and it has to many people resulting in deaths due to a simple tooth infection that was left without treatment. The jaw is rich in nerves and blood vessels that any infection/s can easily pass through the rest of the body through he blood stream. Most bacterial infections that get through can result in fatal consequences that if not treated early. Blood clots from such infections can also travel through the blood stream to the heart or brain causing irreversible damage that can cause more health problems as time progresses. A blood clot forming as a result of the foreign body results in a heart attack or a stroke so do get to visit your dentist at least a few times a year.

Nano-technology or the study and use of microscopic structures have been found to be more effective as a coating on dental implants, promoting faster and better osseointegration. Traditional dental implants are made of steel and do not quite osseointegrate that inspection through a microscope would show a few microns of a gap that leaves the tooth prone to infection and decay. Once bacteria or food matter enters this gap, the risk of implant failure is so high that it is blamed for the huge occurences of dental implant failures in the US that results in replacement therapy. Using Bone-Like, the implant is first micro-textured to attain a rough surface for the coating to adhere to that is then coated using extremely durable epoxy glues forever bonding the coating to the implant. This technology pioneered in India, places the country as one of the leaders int he dental technology field as opposed to previous trend setters, in the European theater.

Researchers in the Netherlands have developed a drug dispensing tooth implant that has its own microprocessor and power source to provide steady streams of medication for sedentary patients who cannot take medicines on their own. The technology is highly reliant on microelectronics that contains sensors, a drug dispensing valve, the drug reservoir, and the microprocessor which calculates the times and dosage of the required medication. The said implant is ideal for seniors of people who are in a coma that must get their medicine at precise intervals to allow it to maximize the healing effects of the drug.

This problem is more on the alignment of teeth that can exert uneven pressure on the joints, nerves and muscles that results in headaches and other health problems. This is usually corrected by procedures that would allow the proper alignment of teeth and even the whole jaw to alleviate the pressure exerted on the sensitive parts of the jaw. It can also be treated with gradual adjustments using jaw implants that are work during sleep to slowly correct minor defects in the alignment and overall look of teeth. Many people who suffer from headaches fail to recognize that problems with teeth can result in such painful mallady that could have been addressed with progressive treatments to correct them.

Sealants have begun to give teeth a second life preventing further decay on teeth that have just begun to get some erosion or cavities but are still too shallow to fully affect the soft tissue within the tooth's structure. Sealants can be used to protect mildly decayed teeth giving them a clear coat that acts as a protective surface for the teeth for grind against. Otherwise, erosion would eat away more of the teeth resulting in cavities and destruction of the teeth. Tooth extractions have also been avoided with more emphasis on preserving the natural teeth turning to root canals and bridges to correct problems.
