Emu oil is a natural product that has many amazing uses. Cosmetically, this oil can be a powerful ally to help with various skin conditions and skin beauty. It's natural anti-aging properties are absorbed by the skin. Most importantly, it has an uncanny ability to speed up healing. Valuable knowledge of its many uses will make it an indispensable part of your natural health products arsenal. It will never go to waste, because it is impossible not to find a daily use for it. I personally have loaned it to friends to help with burns and healing. The healing properties of emu oil have made a hero out of me.

Emu oil is easy to use. Simply topically apply or massage onto the skin. It has an uncanny ability to help because it can penetrate the skin barrier. In addition it has hyper-oxygenating properties that helps draw blood to the area that it is topically applied to. Most importantly, emu oil offers speed-healing properties with beneficial results. It is also high in healthy omega 3,6,9 essential fatty acids and is available in liquid capsules as a supplement.

Last year while on a snow skiing weekend trip, a woman I knew had accidentally splashed boiling water on her arm. Areas of her arm had dark red skin discoloration and the upper layer of thin skin was bubbling up. In addition the lady was experiencing some pain and discomfort.

She had tried to pour cold water on the arm and put some medication on the area but was unsatisfied with the results. I asked her if she had an open mind and would be interested in trying something different, emu oil, and she agreed. I immediately retrieved my bottle of emu oil and poured some into a paper cup so that she could reapply the emu oil several times to her skin. I would have given her my entire bottle but knew better than to be without this critical item.

After applying the emu oil the woman asked me if she should dry the excess oil. I replied that she should wait, because the skin would absorb the oil. To her amazement and onlookers, within about five minutes the oil disappeared. I also observed moments later she seemed to be exhibiting less pain. Within about an hour the bubble was starting to go down. One person remarked loudly, 'Look at that!'

Two hours later the bubbles had completely subsided. The outside skin discoloration had abated and was no longer getting worse. In the morning, she showed me her arm and was amazed at the pace of healing. The skin was clearly healing and much of the skin discoloration from the burn had disappeared.

I personally used emu oil to heal a scar on my forehead. Recently my son accidentally slammed open the front door to my house. I was hit by the edge of the door and suffered a deep gash on my forehead that required a trip to the emergency room at the hospital and 5 stitches to close the wound.

Upon getting home I applied emu oil to the wound. It seemed to ease the pain or sting. I continued to reapply emu oil every two to four hours. I continued to reapply emu oil to the cut after the stitches were removed for about a week.

To this day I cannot find my scar from my ordeal! It is almost like the ordeal never started. Based on my experience it is best to apply emu oil to a closed up wound as soon as possible to help minimize a scar and speed up healing.

To sum it all up, always make sure you have emu oil handy. You never know when you need it. It can literally be as important as your first aid kit!
