You can also check out many web sites, real estate agents, or brokers to look for the houses. Another possibility could be checking out bank owned foreclosed homes. Their might be fewer risks. For example, there shouldn't be nay tenants, not many problems with the property and no due taxes that you have to pay. How foreclosed homes are priced is quite simple. They are mainly sold at the price closed to the assessed value. Also the neighboring property values are also looked at, and so is the amount of work that is need on the home in question. This can either be to your advantage or disadvantage, so don't think just because it's a foreclosed home you can get the house at a really cheap rate. The price will be determined on the value of the home.
