Bayview, a Victorian seafront hotel is undoubtedly one of the best here. The hotel is located strategically on Craigmore shore giving guests a glorious view of the Rothesay Bay and extending the view to Loch Striven & the well-known Kyles of Bute. The ferry terminal & town center are just a walking distance away. You will find it a pleasure to be able to be so close to a Victorian building that has quire a few original features still present. We offer a range of mouth-watering delicacies. The hotel has residents license and also ample private vehicle parking. Smoking is prohibited strictly. It will be hard to check into rooms before 1pm, then too you can come in, book your room, place the luggage in our custody and get the feel of the place and surrounding and then when we are ready you can unlock your room. Our rooms This hotel is equipped with 12 elegant roomy bedrooms. 8 of these are en-suite while 4 have attached facilities. Each rooms comes with color TV, courtesy trays & clock radios. 8 bedrooms give a splendid view of Rothesay Bay & the remaining 4 gives view of the lovely garden. The garden is frequented by the Roe deer, these deer's are found easily on our island. Keeping the comfort of our guest at the top of our mind we have designed all rooms. 4 of these bedrooms house large king sized double beds (6 feet long) just incase you need it. You could also stay at the 4-poster room without paying extra, just book it early. We maintain the same rate of single occupancy rooms as well as sea-views! History First constructed in 1896, Bayview was modified to join the next-door house and then in 1970 it started to be a hotel. Irene and Andrew McGregor bought the place in 1995 and since then have continuously restored the hotel to make it so lovely as it stands today. During winter the hotel closed so that refurbishment of our 6, 2nd floor room could be began in full swing. We have completed the process and the outcome is that these are now the most modern rooms one can imagine. We would love to have new guest come over and stay while we would love to meet old friends again. We as proprietors are easily assessable and have customer service as a priority. All our decisions are surrounded with guests' happiness being the focal point.
