Asia is a country where it is very easy for a westerner to get prone to Malaria and various other illnesses. It is very important that a child specially to take care about it and this also applies to other family members going for holiday too.

It is also important to also carry the map of that particular place where you are traveling because you never can take a chance in an unknown country. Also it is advisable, to go on the net and look out for the language spoken there and before hand learn basic language so that no one corns you in an unknown place. There have been incidences that we probably have heard on media, to the way people corn westerners and so it is important that before hand preparation is made if the family plans to go out of their country and specially to places in which are unfamiliar to them.
