5 Lifestyle Changes You Can Make to Stop Wrinkles in Their Tracks - Articles Surfing

If you have a few more lines on your skin than you want to see, don't worry because it's not too late to give yourself a fresh makeover and halt wrinkles in their tracks. You may not be able to turn back the hands of time, but you will slow down the clock with a few relatively minor changes to your lifestyle. So, keep reading for five fantastic anti-aging tips.

Tip 1 - Stay Out of the Sun

You don't need to completely avoid the sun, but you do have to avoid excess time in the sun without protection. Ideally, 20 to 40 minutes outside is the maximum before the sun becomes damaging and the UV rays from the sun begin to fry your skin.

To avoid these wrinkles, put on sun block when you go out. Even foundations with SPFs are great to wear because they'll sometimes last longer than regular sun blocks.

While adding caution to your sun exposure, don't err to the other extreme by avoiding the sun all together since those brief daily visits outside are both physically healthy and typically benefit people psychologically as well.

Tip 2 - Quit Smoking and Avoid Second-Hand Smoke

Smoking may be hard to quit, but lung cancer and being wrinkly at the age of 45 doesn't sound very appealing either. This is one aging factor that is completely in your hands, so if you are a smoker it's time to make the right choice. Smoking">All you need to know is that the oxygen which should be used to hydrate your skin cells and prevent wrinkles is being eaten up by your smoking.

Smoking also causes tooth decay, yellowed skin, brittle nails and dry hair - all of which are telltale signs of aging.

Tip 3 - Focus on Your Diet

The nutrients that vegetables and fruits offer your skin, nails and hair are incredible. They help to hydrate your skin cells, protect your skin cells and generate new skin cells. Make sure to eat lots of berries, leafy greens, tomatoes, carrots and fruits to give your skin the treatment it deserves. The darker fruits and vegetables are generally the more effective.

Tip 4 - Drink Lots of Water

Water naturally cleanses your body both inside and out. The water helps to carry oxygen to your cells to keep them hydrated. If you're skeptical, test it out for seven days. After a week of 8 glasses of water a day, you'll see a notable glow on your skin and improved skin tone. Distilled, spring, or mineral water are even healthier than normal tap water.

Tip 5 - Moisturize

Moisturizers will give your skin what it needs from the exterior. As water works it way internally, your skin cells can be moisturized with the various lotions available that can stop wrinkles in their tracks.

Remember that your skin is being abused by the wind, pollutants and the hot and dry air, so you are going to need to take some level of active involvement in your skin's health by using moisturizers to give it back its hydration stolen from the various environmental disturbances.
