Finding The Right Sauna Supplies - Articles Surfing

A sauna is a great place to unwind and cleanse your body. Once you have spent the time, effort and money necessary to install your sauna you will wonder why you did not do it sooner. Sauna sales records show that most saunas sold today are indoor models that are heated with infrared heaters. These are designed for people who cannot or choose not to have a traditional Finnish sauna. No matter what kind of sauna you have you will soon learn that you are in need of some sauna supplies that help you enjoy it more.

The kind of sauna supplies that we are talking about includes various aromas including birch, pine, eucalyptus and herbal aromas. If your sauna is constructed Northern white cedar or Western Red cedar you will already have warm and natural aroma that will emanate from the wood as the temperature in the sauna rises. As the wood ages you may have supplement this natural smell with a commercial aroma.

Additional sauna supplies include a temperature gage that can be easily read while the sweat is running into your eyes. This is especially true if you are using a traditional sauna that is heated with a wood fired sauna stove. Keeping one eye on the temperature and one on the stove damper is important if you want to maintain the proper temperature.

Included in your sauna supplies should be a good hygrometer to provide the humidity levels within the sauna. This will tell you when it is time to throw some more water on the stove rocks which increases the apparent heat of the sauna. Most indoor infrared sauna kits have digital controls that have temperature gages built into them but since they are considered a dry sauna there is no need for a good hygrometer. However many sauna enthusiasts will soon find that they want to know this information as part of the sauna experience.

Traditional sauna supplies also include a water bucket and ladle for applying water to the stove rocks. These come in many shapes, sizes and materials. Wood is the most common material used in a sauna as they do not conduct heat like meat implements. However you can get copper and stainless steel buckets and ladles with wooden or insulate handles. These implements are as much for show as they are practical. Sauna towels are important sauna supplies. In most case a sauna is taken fully disrobed and it is important have the sauna users to sit on a sauna towel instead of the wood benches.

Sauna cleaning solutions are included as important sauna supplies that you should purchase. It is important that you do not use bleach to clean the wood surfaces of your sauna as this will prematurely age your wood surfaces. Special biocides that kill bacteria and disrupt viruses are well worth the cost of protecting your sauna and your health.

Other sauna supplies that are popular include water proof speakers and entertainment systems. High humidity resistance lights, wooden head rests and sitting stools. The combination of heat and humidity will quickly ruin any standard electrical devices. This may even cause an unsafe condition. In addition many people purchase and install custom glass doors to accent and customize the look of their sauna. These special doors have laminated glass to keep the heat inside where it belongs.

No matter what type of sauna supplies you are seeking almost all can be purchased on the Internet. In addition most sauna manufactures also sell the sauna supplies that will help to better enjoy your sauna.
