There are five easy embroidery stitches that are started with. These stitches are known as the cross stitch, the back stitch, the 3/4 stitch, and the half stitch. the back stitch is used to create lines that go around something. The first step in completing this stitch is to find the center of the fabric and mark it. Place the fabric inside of the hoop and put it to the side. Seperate the DMC thread into six seperate threads that are about a foot to fourteen inches long. Do not put the two threads together. Insert them into the end of the needle and tie a knot to make sure that it is tight.
