Online Blackjack rules (also known as Hit or Stand) may differ depending on where you are playing. This can often be confusing for some people, making it difficult for people to understand and learn the rules and strategies of blackjack. Quite often, this can make the game much more complicated, too. Many of the correct moves are the same no matter where you play; they do not differ from site to site. Most of the larger sites rules are very similar, and usually match the rules of the Vegas or A.C Casinos.

When using online Blackjack rules, the aim of the game is to stay under the value of 21 and to beat the dealer's hand. Depending on what makes a better hand, an ace is worth 1 or 11, and face cards are worth 10. Most">All of the other cards just go by face value. To begin with, each player is dealt two cards. Only one of the dealers cards are left hidden until the end of the game, while both of your cards are shown.

While playing with online Blackjack rules, if you wish to ask for another card you would simply say Hit. To stick with the total you have, and to end your turn, you would just say Stand. The dealer is able to win if you bust, or go over 21. The dealer wins this round regardless of what his hand was.

With online Blackjack rules, you can get an instant blackjack if you are dealt 21 in the first round (ace & 10 or face card). If you are fortunate enough to get a blackjack, you usually win 1 and a half times your original bet. The dealer will always hit until their hand totals 17 or higher. If you receive two cards that are the same, you are able to split the pair into two hands. This also doubles the bet as each new hand has the same worth of the original bet.

Also, a basic online Blackjack rules, you can no longer split after the first move. You also cannot play on two Aces after you have used them in a split. You are able to double on a hand that has resulted from a split. This will enable you to triple or even quadruple your bet.

Remember that with online Blackjack rules, you are not trying to just be the player closest to 21. You need to hit 21 to win the game. As stated above, the aim of this game is to actually beat the dealer. You bust if your hand goes over 21. This means your hand is no longer viable, and you lose the game. It is always the player who acts first. If both the player and the dealer bust, then it is you who loses, as your hand was shown first. The dealer doesn't actually have to show his hand, as they have already won the hand.
