How to Win at Roulette - Tips For Roulette When Playing Online - Articles SurfingRoulette is one of the most common and popular out of all the casino games, so like anything with an element of loss the common question occurs. How to win at roulette? There's no easy answer. It takes time, practice, the use of effective strategies and systems, as well as a little natural flair. That being said a lot of it can be taught, and I'll attempt to explain some of the basics ' so the question won't be 'how to win at roulette' but 'thank god you taught me how to win at roulette.' First and foremost roulette is a game of chance, but with the right formulas and strategies you can greatly increase your odds and in turn your win rate. Nobody wins every time, but with a high win rate you will definitely end up with a good profit margin. The basics of the European roulette table (never play American roulette as the odds are low to begin with due to their double zero number) are as follows: - A table with all the numbers represented is spun with a ball. Wherever the ball lands is the winning bet, but players can increase their chances with splits, columns and so on. - The playing layout displays 36 numbers, with odd colored black and even colored red. You can put chips (amounts worked out prior to game) on either number or on the result just being odd or even. - These numbers are then split in to 3 sections. In other words the first 12 numbers are in section one, the second 12 numbers (up to 24) are In the second section and the same up to 36. You can place bets on each of these sections. You can also bet on it landing on 1-18 and 19-36. - You can also place chips on columns, individual lines and between numbers (splits). Now that you have chosen a European table you want to look out for other things that will increase your chances. One such thing is the 'en prison' rule that is sometimes used. This means that if you used your money to bet equal (for example on odd or even), and the ball lands on zero you don't actually lose. Your bet is held off for the next spin. If you then win, you can take the chip of the table. This lowers the house edge of a European table from 2.7% to 1.35%. As alluded to above, the American tables have an extra zero giving them a house edge of 5.4%, which although small isn't worth the risk if you want to make serious money. There are several other strategies that can be used in conjunction with the basics in order to increase the odds. These include the Martingale method of doubling your wager after a losing bet to win back the money and the consecutive rule. If four consecutive outcomes are on the same line or column, bet on another. This involves your tripling your losses to stay in the game.
