Although no one has perfect skin, you can do many things to and sure that your skin looks great at all times. Because let's face it, we all want a great complexion, and that means staying acne free. What exactly is acne and causes it anyway? Unfortunately, there really isn't a consensus with those who knew some so they just continue to go out and buy any lotions she creams they can get their hands on, which unfortunately usually makes the situation worse as opposed to improving it. To be acne free, you must first understand your face. Okay, getting to know your skin type; that's a good place to start. It's now time to locate products that will actually work for you. Just because they say they're for your particular skin type, doesn't mean that they will do your puss any good. While it is common knowledge that pimples erupt due to clogged pores, many of us do not go about treating the problem in the right way. So you have dead skin, oil and bacteria; you realize that these are the engines that produced acne, but do you know what to do with them? First off, you don't want to over-treat. This will only exacerbate the problem and make it worse by drying your face out in the last thing you need is a dry face. This dilemma will actually cause your glands to pump out more oil to compensate. A vicious circle. What you need is balance if you want to be acne free. Start with a gentle cleanser that's dermatologist approve. This will wash away the dirt and oil, but not strip the skin's surface or pullout natural, healthy moisture from your skin. The topical treatment will probably be required to apply to your skin. It's always prudent to gently pat your face dry with a clean cotton towel. If you rub your face is very likely that you cause further irritation. Eating right is also a huge factor in fighting the acne wars. Believe it or not what we eat is expelled through our pores. Use your common sense here, but eating fruits, vegetables and drinking plenty of water are recommended. This will supply your body with the nutrients we need on a daily basis. A final tip concerning acne free skin relates to your night's sleep. It is vital that you get enough rest for a great many reasons. You want to be sure to get enough rest each day. This cuts down on anxiety and fatigue, which actually does have an affect on your complexion. You may want to switch pillow cases every night as well. It may sound nuts, but all of that bacteria gets ingrained into your pillow case every time you sleep. Do you really wanna be sleeping on such a dirty surface? With the right steps, you too can become acne free.
