Who Else Wants To Make Money With Adsense? Part 1 - Articles SurfingThese days it seems that everyone is making money with Adsense. From high school students to retirees. Some have created full-time incomes by simply placing Adsense ads on their web site or blog. Just about anyone can make can make money with Adsense as long as they know what to do. So how does one go about becoming an Adsense success story? By simply following a few basic steps. You should first select specific keywords or keyword phrases that are searched for by many people. Yahoo has a free search tool that can be used for this purpose (http://www.pixelfast.com/overture/). Next you will need to build one or more web sites around your selected keywords or keyword phrases. Creating web sites with a lot of good, unique content is very important for your Adsense business because these are the kinds of sites Google likes for displaying ads . There are two choices you have when it comes to creating a web site: do it yourself or pay someone else to do it. If you are a novice and don't have a lot of web design experience or money but still want to build your own site you might want to use one of many free website design software programs such as Yahoo's Website Design Tool (most web hosting companies also have free web site design programs). If you don't want to go that route and have a few hundred dollars or more to spend, employing a web site designer is another option. Companies such as Elance.com and RentACoder have access to many talented programmers who would love to place bids on your job. If you decide to use one of these services be sure to ask for references or to see some of the work they have done for others before you employ them. A third option is to purchase a web site design software program such as XsitePro, DreamWeaver or Frontpage and create your own sites. Once you have your web site created you will then need to sign up for your Adsense Account. This can be done by going to https://google.com/adsense. The signup process is very easy and takes just a few minutes. Google will then review your site and email you letting you know that your site has been approved. It is only necessary to have Google approve one web site. Thereafter, you are free to place ads on additional sites without getting them approved. WARNING: Be advised that Google does spider all sites upon which their ads are shown and should any of your sites be out of compliance with Google's TOS your account might get banned. It is very important to first read the Adsense rules and then adhere to them. If you ever have questions related to your Adsense account you should contact Google. The ads Google shows on your web page will be directly related to the keywords you have selected. For example, if you have selected the keyword, "horse racing" and are interested in having ads related to "horse racing", shown on your web page you should be sure the content on that particular page is all about the keyword, "horse racing." The amount of money earned from Adsense ads is determined in large part by the amount of money the advertiser is paying Google. Keywords that cost the advertiser more will in turn pay you more each time a visitor to your site clicks on one of the ads (i.e., keywords that cost the advertiser $1.00 will pay you more than a keyword that costs the advertiser $0.50). There are ways to get fresh content for your web site. The first way is to write 30-40 articles and upload them to your web site. This method is the cheapest but also the most time consuming. However, if you enjoy writing this might work well for you. There are also software programs available for those who want to create their own articles but are "keyboard challenged". One such software program is "Dragon Naturally Speaking." With this program you can simply speak into a microphone and have the words magically appear on your monitor screen. The second way to obtain a lot of content is to visit one or more of the many article sites offering free content (i.e., ArticleCity.com or IdeaMarketer.com). You can copy and paste these articles onto your web pages as long as you leave the author's resource box intact and do not change one word of the article (doing so will get you in a lot of trouble and possibly have your site banned). One problem you might encounter is duplication of content, since as you might imagine, thousands of people copying and pasting the same article to different web sites. A good way to work around this problem is to add your own introduction and/or summary to each article. This will make each of your articles unique. Another way to get a lot of good content is to pay to have someone else write your articles. This is the most expensive way but there is an advantage to going this route--you have total control over the type of articles you get and you can have articles written targeted to your specific keywords. Also, these articles are written especially for you so they will always be unique. Prices can range from a few dollars per article to $75 and up (Elance.com and RentACoder.com are two places you can go to find article writers). Okay, thus far you have learned that in order to make money with Adsense you need: 1. Specific Keywords In Part two we will discuss the fourth and final thing you need to make money with Adsense.
