After all, most private investigators are ex-police officers who have taken on private investigation work. The only way that one can be sure of whom he or she is dealing with is by asking for an identifying badge. Even licensed private investigators are required by law to carry identifying badges to show to concerned individuals to lend some credibility and factual evidence of their nature of work.
