Today's Ever Increasing Compensation Culture - Articles SurfingWe are all now living in the compensation culture where someone ends up picking up the tab, is this ethically right or wrong? More and more people are now claiming compensation thanks to the no win no fee contracts that many companies are now offering. Is this right or wrong? Many people have a fall and the first thing they thing is 'great, compensation claim, money for nothing'. There are also people who purposely create an accident themselves and then exaggerate their injuries so as to get the most amount of compensation money. This is wrong and trying to separate the legitimate claims from the false is a difficult task and this is costing insurance companies a lot of money. When people legitimately have an accident which is the result of another person or organisation and the blame lies with them, and then it is surly right that the person injured should be compensated for. If a person is disfigured or disabled by the negligence of another then compensation is one way of softening the blow as it were. Obviously it won't compensate totally for the injuries and pain suffered, money never can. Ask a young boy who due to an accident at school had to have his finger amputated whether he would like the choice of '10,000 or his finger back. He would inevitable rather have his finger back then any money offered. But his finger can not be sewn back on; it was too severely damaged so any money offered to the young boy will help a little with the loss and his disability. So it is obviously a good thing that companies are offering the no win no fee options, it means people who would normally be put off by lawyers costs can now confidently make a claim. This is also a great opportunity for the not so law abiding citizen to make false claims. This is obviously tricky to handle and there needs to be some legislation put in place or the companies need to investigate each claim thoroughly. There are many sites available online now that offers no win no fee compensation. Internet services typically offer free advice to anyone that calls them and they will tell you there and then whether it would be worth pursuing the case.
