What To Do With Looky-Loos And Subscribers Who Waste Your Time! - Articles Surfing

Remember that old television show " The Twilight Zone"?

It originally ran from 1959 to 1964 on the CBS network, andwas one of the most provocative and controversial shows ofits time. The show's narrator, host, and main writer, RodSerling, always signed off each individual episode bysaying "Submitted for your approval... in... The TwilightZone."

Now, one thing you want to do if you want to becomesuccessful -- of if you want to STAY successful -- and bysuccessful I mean making enough money to accomplish yourgoals, whatever they are, is... you MUST protect yourselffrom "time bandits" who try and force you again and again,to venture off course and out into...

The Twilight Zone.

Meaning, you are going to have to set up certain proceduresor systems that allow you to avoid people, things, badhabits and ideas that ultimately do nothing but...

Steal... And Waste... Your Precious Time!

Since sometimes you aren't even aware something is atime-waster, I wanted to show you a fresh, real-lifeexperience I recently had, that could have been nothing butan absolute mind-numbing time-killing experience for me,had I not been aware of what was going on.

Here's an e-mail I recently received. I won't reveal thename of the person who sent it to me -- this time -- butLord knows it's a doozy:

Dear Craig,

"I do appreciate your way of engaging people in yourmaterial, and the way you keep on being consistent but sofar I have not read anything yet that I could considerinteresting in terms of tips and knowledge. I was going tofill out the survey but I thought wait a minute here why doyou need all these info for ?"

Now whenever I receive messages like this (which fortunatelyis very seldom), what I do is, I press my right indexfingertip onto this VERY valuable key on my keyboard calledthe "Delete" key, just one time only, and voila! -- I getto avoid wasting any more than even one full breath onsomeone like this.

You need to understand that someone who writes somethinglike this to you, places ZERO value on their own time, andso they feel it's O.K. to waste your time as well.

Here, let's take a closer look:

This brain surgeon says "so far I have not read anything yetthat I could consider interesting in terms of tips andknowledge."

So he's found nothing important on my website, and yet...

He's still willing to spend his time with me!

Now call me stupid, but when you're bored with something, don't you usually just move on to something else?

When you read a newspaper or magazine article, or whenyou're going through a a website, or -- heaven forbid -- ifyou read a book that was a little disappointing to you, doyou then go and track down the author and spend your timeasking them why you should buy, read, or otherwise comsumemore of their products?

Or do you just move on to the next thing ahead of you, tokeep that big exciting machine called "your life,"running?

I promise you, the guy who sent me in that e-mail, doesn'tknow much about marketing, and he damn sure knows even lessabout time management!

So, how can you profit from this information?

Simple: Know that if someone doesn't feel you have anythingworthwhile to say, your job isn't to convince him or heryou DO have something important to tell them, your job is toignore them and move on to things that will...

Make You Money!

Remember, in direct-response, your job as a marketer is to"attract" prospects to you -- those are the only people whoWANT to pay you for your goods and services. Don't worryabout ANY of the others.

DON'T waste your time with prospects and customers whoaren't as committed to you, as you are to them. Because aperson like this will never buy your products... a person like thiswill never come to your seminars... and aperson like this will never hire you to do any kind ofcoaching either.

In fact, it stinks that you have to deal with mental midgetslike this in the first place. But unfortunately, that'spart of owning a business.

People like this have so little going on in their lives.that for whatever reason, they feel compelled to suck thepositive energy out of you, to try and draw you into their"vacuum of nothing" out there in space, somewhere in theirown Twilight Zone.

Make sure you recognize this for what it is, and you don'twaste your time trying to "convert" these "time bandits"into fans of yours. That is a very BAD use of your time.

Submitted for your approval, in... The Twilight Zone.

Now go sell something,
