Did you know that... there are probably as many ways to promote your business online as there are grains of sand on the beach.

The problem with most webmasters and others doing business on the internet is they can't seem to see the myriad of possibilities that are available to them.

Use your imagination to solve your problem. Do some thinking, some searching on line, look to see what others are doing successfully.

Come up with new, different or better ways to promote .

Most people are like water that just runs down hill. They simply take the easiest path. They do what is convenient. They want what is simple and cheap and seems to solve the problem.

They don't want to think.

Here's a tip: Take a blank sheet of paper and pencil and do some brainstorming. Write down as many promotional ideas that you can come up with in a matter of 10 minutes.

Don't edit your thinking...just write them down. Later, you can come back and edit, delete and trash the "bad" ones.

From that list of ideas select the top 4 or 5 that seem to hold water... that might just work. Expand those limited ideas with some more thoughts and details.

Now take a break... forget the list for a few hours or maybe even overnight.

Having had some time to reflect and subconsciously process those ideas, return to your list and select the one or two that will work for you.

Expand on those selected ideas until you have a plan to make them work. Test your newly planned promotional ideas by tracking the results of some test ads or campaigns.

With some tentative results that look good, do a full fledged marketing campaign.

Learning to promote and marketing your service or product is a trial-and-error method. There are many ways to get to where you are going. The task is to discover the way which will work best for you.

Where are you going to be a year from now? Will you still be chugging away with the same old methods? Are you ready to make some changes to improve your lot on the internet?
