Displaying Your Promotional Products - Articles Surfing

If you'll be distributing promotional products or promotional items at your home office or at a convention booth/table, it is important to think about displaying these products. Many forget this vital step, and end up laying their products on a large pile on the table, which is inefficient and looks sloppy. Instead, consider your options and be prepared. You've spent a lot of money on getting your promotional products branded perfectly so why not display them accurately?

The first display method isn't really a display at all. I like to call it the hand-out method. With this type of 'display,' You keep your promotional products under the table and only hand them out to people who stop at your table to talk or customers who make purchases. This is a useful approach if you have larger and more expensive promotional items. Otherwise, people will just take one (or two or three) because they want the item, even though they'll have no real interest in your company. You can also hold a few items and walk out into the crowd to distribute and call attention to your booth at a fair or convention.

Of course, you can always try the traditional approach to displaying your promotional products and opt for baskets. Large, shallow baskets usually work best, but it is important to find containers that are appropriate for the size of your item. Always remember to test out your product display before purchasing by taking a few samples with you to the store. Those pretty silver baskets look great on the shelves, but if they're a half-inch too short for your pens, they won't be very functional.

When setting up a display with larger items that don't need a basket, such as mugs, keep the focus on your company. Turn all of the items facing outward so that your name or logo appears clearly, and make sure someone is in charge of keeping the promotional products stocked so that you don't run out halfway through the year or, even worse, halfway through a convention!

Themes are also a good idea, and can lend themselves to some fun promotional products. When this is the case, go the extra mile with your display, and you'll attract more customers and interest in your business and its services. For example, if you want to give away promotional pens and your theme is luau, you can purchase brightly colored hurricane glasses to hold them. At the end of the day, give away the glasses to the last few people to make clean up and storage a breeze.

If nothing else, you can at least cover the bottom half of some shoe boxes in wrapping paper to hold your promotional items. Doing these little steps shows that you've planned ahead for a more thoughtful display, instead of simply throwing items on a table. Functional displays will help to promote your business even more!
