A few weeks later we wake up realizing that the weight of our lives, the pressures of today, and our concerns for tomorrow have already pushed us right back into our ways. How is it that some people seem to have this one moment in time where they make a decision to change their life, and they are immediately different from then on? I would love to tell you that I knew the secret to this question, but the fact is that I do not. If I professed to be the expert here, it would only be my pride talking or some kind of marketing trick. It's a mystery to us how a person really changes on the inside. How is it that some will transform their lives, and others will never really move forward? Let's explore this together with the understanding that this is an unexplainable mystery. We'll explore it by looking at these 3 Areas. 3 Ways You Change When You Make Decisions That Last 1) Your Dissatisfaction Grows ' This is the point where you get 'sick and tired' enough to actually do something different. It's where you get disgusted for not living up to who you know you really are. It's when you look in the mirror and says 'ENOUGH'. When you hit this point, you stop blaming everyone else and you decide to get up and do something different. 2) Your Desire Increases ' Everyone has desires. The problem with most of us is that we are too easily satisfied. We sacrifice our desires for lesser things. Instead of having friends, we watch it on TV. We settle for a job, because it's easier than building a business. The truth is that we often settle for a comfortable numbness that's devoid of life. But when you make a decision that changes your life, your desire grows. You actually start wanting what you SAY you've been wanting all along. Your desire fuels you on to action. 3) Self Doubt Disappears ' When you've made a life changing kind of decision, failure is not an option. If I asked you if you could lift a 300 pound desk, you would probably say no. But if I told you there was a 300 pound desk on your child, you wouldn't even think about it. You wouldn't spend any time researching on the internet. You wouldn't go listen to a motivational CD. You would just go save your child, and you would do it with great speed. Life changing decisions are like that. When there's no question whether or not you are going to do something, problems are just like a speed bump to drive over. They won't even slow you down. I think the answer to finding self change may be found in what actually changes in us. For some of us, I think it's past time to become dissatisfied. It's time to say 'ENOUGH' and to get off our backsides and get busy. It's time to start really wanting what we've been talking about. And it's time to release the doubt that's been holding us back. Take a moment right now. Make a decision to move forward. Now just go for it!
