Online Marketing: How To Maximize Your Results - Articles SurfingAs an online business owner, there are a lot of factors that can impact your success. While you can't control every factor, there are those that are within your control, such as your marketing plan. When it comes to marketing your online business, a carefully planned approach can mean the difference between ultimate success and disappointing failure. To accurately track the results of a new marketing strategy, make sure it's the only change that you make to your marketing plan. Don't stop, change or tweak anything you're currently doing. This is critical to get an accurate reflection of the new marketing strategy. Use this 3 step process to gauge your results: 1. Record your current monthly production. How many sales or how many people joined your organization last month? 2. Implement the new marketing strategy for 4 weeks and log your results at the end of the test period. 3. At the end of the test period, compare the number of sales or number of new people added to your organization with those of the previous month. If you saw an increase in sales or new members added to your organization, then it was worth it. So stick to it! If you're doing something that works, do more of it. If however, the new marketing strategy had a negative or no measurable impact on your business, then you should re-analyze your marketing program. Was the new strategy the only change you made to your marketing plan? If you made any other changes, you will not have an accurate reflection of the new strategy. If it was the only change, then you are faced with a decision, tweak it, extend the test period or stop using the new strategy. Depending on the strategy, another couple of months may provide a better reflection of your marketing efforts. Don't extend it forever though, if the new strategy still isn't producing positive results within a few months, end it. In the same way you should continue to do something that works, you should also stop doing something that doesn't work. With a little due diligence, you'll be amazed at the impact a new marketing strategy can have on your business.
