The 2 Phases Of MLM - Articles SurfingThere is really a phase 1 and phase 2 of the business. Phase 1 is when you begin your business and phase 2 is how you continue your business. How you deal with the transition can be a new beginning to your business or the end. The basis of this industry is bringing your product, your service or your opportunity to the market through word of mouth. This is a people business! If you want to continually grow your business, you must continue to talk to people. Phase 1 - you begin! You may have lots of people to talk to. You make your list of contacts and then hit the streets (or phone line) and let them know what you are doing. You share your idea. This can be broken down into 2 aspects: 1. You start, but may not have that many people to talk to, or 2. You have been in business for a while and are starting to run out of people to talk to. Now what? This is where phase 1 starts to wind down and phase 2 begins. Phase 2 - it begins! There are a few different ways to handle this transition: 1. Continue to network. Go out and meet people. This can be considered "2 a day, brings freedom my way". During this process you must "sort" those people into those you want to discuss you business with. Not everyone you meet is a good prospect. If you think that, you are not going to enjoy meeting new people. This can be fun and can become a way of life. The problem with this option is momentum. If you are trying to build momentum, this will just not work. You must learn to be patient, and continue to work everyday. What happens though if you are not in the type of job, activity or life style that allows you to meet new people every day, day in and day out? You must be patient and learn to work efficient! 2. Buy leads. Find a good company that you can trust and to start, invest between $200 and $500 in contact info and pick up the phone and start dialing. This can build momentum if you make your 50-100 calls a day, day in and day out. In this business, lead calling is hard work. It can work, but nonetheless, it is hard work. This is a huge industry. It is in 100 different countries, it does a $100 billion in sales worldwide, there are over 55 million people in the business. What does practically every single person have in common with everyone else? Phase 1 and phase 2. What is the best way to deal with these phases? Talk to your upline. Do research. There are different resources available that will give you ideas on how to continue to build your business. Look for a mentor. This is a great industry and can pay your very, very well. This is just like every other industry; you must know what to expect and have the skill sets to deal with the different parts of the business. To your success!
