The Four C's To Crowd Catching Content - Articles Surfing

Several blogs are born everyday. Money is on the minds of these blog starters as they gaze admiringly at their bedroom wall posters of John Chow and Darren Rowse. While many more people are beginning to have successful, profitable blogs, I can not help but realize that the content of these blogs are becoming cheaper and looking almost identical to its neighbor's blog's content. Blogging may be the hottest money maker right now, but do not let writing skills get compromised in the process.

Creativity: Take a look around the blogosphere. How many money making blogs or sites did you visit today? I think I visit around ten to twenty blogs about money making and blogging a day. Some are really good. The rest of the time, I feel like I am reading the same stuff about improving scores and how to be a successful blogger. This is not a bad thing. However, since readers world wide have millions of blogs to choose from, you really need yours to stand out! Dare to take some creative approaches to topics that have been beaten dry. Some ways to spice up your content would be to add an eye catching title. Instead of, 'How to Improve Your Alexa Score' (which I have seen so many times I think it may be tattooed permanently on my brain cells), why not have an unexpected title like, 'Raise Your Alexa Score by Kissing Ass'. So many times, bloggers will sacrifice creativity and originality and opt for SEO rich articles. It is better to write an original, creative article first, then add in SEO rich words. Quality articles go further in the long run than those that get you noticed temporarily.

Consistency: Recently, I have started spending at least one hour on my blog a day(with the weekends off). I am pretty sure anyone can write an article in one hour. This even gives time for research and editing. An article a day keeps the readers coming. Think of your blog as a body. Your posts and articles are the Metamucil that help your blog stay regular. One or two days without a post/Metamucil will not harm your blog. However, after a week without any posts/Metamucil, your blog is going to be constipated, unhealthy, and in great danger. This is why consistency is an important step to having great blog content.

Correctness: For lack of a better word that started with a 'C', correctness is important in blogging. It seems like a dream come true that one can type out an article and post it in the matter of minutes. However, spending just at least ten minutes re-reading the article will add value to it. I admit that it is easy to get lazy and just post an un-edited article, and I understand that while you are typing your article it seems perfect because there are no red or green lines popping up on Word. However, I also know that it is essential to edit because there is at least one thing wrong in every first draft. The time taken to edit an article will not only make your article look smarter and professional, but it will also give you a chance to add more SEO words where desired.

Correlation: Finally, the key to great blog content is having each post/article be correlated with the others. Once you settle the niche of your blog, it is important to stick to it. I write about writing. Most of my readers are there to read about writing. If I decide to tell people my diet plan one day or post an article about dog grooming, how many of my readers are going to be interested? Exactly, none! (Well, maybe one). I know that everyday you will not feel like blogging inside your niche. However, the best content is that which flows with its brothers and sisters.

If you really want to have crowd-catching content, then try to apply these four C's. It might take a while to incorporate them in with your SEO skills. However, although SEO writing may get you on the top of Google's search, it will not keep your readers loyal if they are just reading poorly written articles that have, 'make money online' carefully placed twelve times in them. Creativity, Consistency, Correctness, and Correlation all spell quality content.
