The Scent of Success: Using Atomizers as Promotional Items - Articles SurfingAn important piece of any marketing campaign is knowing who your target audience is. Of course, you want to get as broad an exposure as possible, but in most cases your product or service will appeal more to some people than to others. This is basic marketing research, and when you choose your promotional items, you should have such research in hand. The demographics of your target audience may be divided in many ways: age, socio-economic level, geographical region, religion, hobbies, and education levels are only a few. One of the most basic demographic divisions is by gender: are you gearing your marketing toward men or women? Even, in some cases, boys or girls? The same product or service can be marketed differently to different audiences, and promotions targeted specifically toward one gender may not look like promotions geared toward the other. If your marketing campaign is targeting women, your promotional items may be somewhat different than if you were choosing for men or for a mixed audience. In fact, you will have a wider choice if your targeted demographic is women. Women need the same items that all business people need, such as coffee mugs, t-shirts, flash drives or pens, but they also appreciate other, more specifically feminine items as well. For women clients, makeup, stationery, or jewelry are just examples of more female-oriented items that you could use to get your logo out there. One such item is an atomizer. An atomizer is a container for perfume, and specifically the spray mechanism which diffuses the scent into the air and onto the skin. There are many choices of lovely and elegant atomizers that your women clients would love, or that your male clients might like to give as gifts to the ladies in their lives. These come in different shapes, sizes and colors, each with enough space to have your company logo written in an appropriately elegant script. Some atomizers look like pens, but can be filled with a woman's favorite scent and carried with her throughout the day for daily refreshening. Wherever a woman could carry a pen, she can now also carry her perfume. They also come in a combined item, which is both a pen and an atomizer, for double the efficiency. They also come in their own small but elegant cases, usually nickel or silver plated. These often look somewhat like flash drives for someone's computer, except that they are nicer looking. The lid comes off to reveal the atomizer, and the logo of your business can be engraved or imprinted on the outside case. For those who like the idea of offering promotional items that appeal to women or that involve pleasant scents or aromas, companies who offer atomizers as promotional items also offer other fragrance-related items. In addition to atomizers, you can get air fresheners, car air fresheners, scented candles, or aromatherapy sets. If each of these has your company's brand on it, your clients will associate them with elegance and pleasant moments.
