Foods That Cleanse Your Colon - Articles Surfing

Many Of The Foods We Eat Can Cause Mucosal Plaque Build-Up

With the advent of manufacturing industries modern mans diet has been influenced by the intake of processed foods that lack the nutrients and fibers found in natural, fresh fruit and vegetables. Our digestive system thrives on natural fibers that act as the internal broom sweeping away all the unwanted digested matter leaving your system clean and operating at maximum levels.

One of the dangers of not eating the right foods that cleanse your colon is that there will be a build-up of mucosal plaque which is detrimental to your health, and so you need to ensure that the food that you eat does not cause such build-ups, and making the effort will pay you back amazingly with improved health, and more vigor.

Mud, And More Mud

Naturally the are those that think the body naturally cleanses itself no matter what they put into it, though they need to understand that it may be possible to fall in mud and then get up and wash the dirt away. But, what happens when you fall into the mud and a truck comes and dumps a whole lot more mud on you? You will agree that the work of cleansing out the mud would be that much harder, and so you will need to find a more useful means of making the body eliminate the 'mud'. Processed foods are the equivalent of the mud, sure eating a little does not disturb the system, but what happens when we eat the same processed foods day after day, can't you see that it becomes more difficult to remove the mucosal plaque build up in the colon.

Therefore you are encouraged to think about regularly consuming foods that cleanse your colon. Among these are vegetables and fresh raw fruits. Veggies should be lightly steamed and can be combined with nuts, seeds and even whole grains. As these foods contain high levels of fiber you are encouraged to consume plenty of water, herbal teas, lemon water as well as diluted fruit juices and absolutely encouraged not to consume dairy, processed sugar as well as alcohol, and for meat eaters, it is advisable to only consume very small portions which are also lean.

If you have to consume items such as grains, then makes sure to eat whole grains like amaranth, quinoa as well as wild or basmati rice, but don't touch pasta, and though some of these foods that cleanse your colon contain fiber, the trouble with grains is that they are very slow in cleansing and therefore you need to eat less of them because they lack in enzymes which are more readily found in raw fruits as well as vegetables, and the body takes a long time to digest them.

If you follow these broad guidelines, and also take care not to eat processed foods, you should not experience any trouble in cleansing out the colon of its unwanted waste material.
