Natural Remedy For Kidney Stones - Articles Surfing

Is there a natural remedy for kidney stones?

If you are looking for a natural remedy for kidney stones for either for yourself or for your loved ones instead of the conventional methods, you shouldn't have a difficulty finding it as more and more people are inclined to more natural and healthier solutions. This results to a more and more stores carrying natural and alternative medicines.

Your local health food stores should have different types of alternative medicines including a natural remedy for kidney stones. Also, there are many diet changes you can consider in order to prevent kidney stones.

As you know, kidney stones are not a joke. They are very painful because it blocks the urine flow as the stone passes. This causes the stretching of the urethras and kidney. This can take weeks and worse sometimes months or longer along with the pain coming in periodic waves. The size of a kidney stone varies. It can be as small as a grain of sand or as large as a golf ball.

One obvious but often disregarded as a natural remedy for kidney stones is to increase your fluid intake. Eating a low protein diet is another healthy alternative for kidney stone problems. This is because protein increases the levels of uric acid and calcium in the urine.

Also try eating less meat. It has been shown that people who are inclined to eat more vegetables are not prone to kidney stones. Another good idea is to avoid eating large meals especially late at night. What happens is that these foods tend to promote crystal-forming concentrations. Avoid sugars, salts, caffeine, and alcohol. Believe it or not but they increases the amount of calcium in your urine.

You can also increase your vitamin C intake and make sure you consume foods rich with all these necessary minerals such as magnesium. Magnesium is an important component in our body and can be found in foods such as corn, potatoes, bananas as well as oats, bran, brown rice, barley, bran, buckwheat, and rye.
