Treating Arthritis With Nutrition - Articles SurfingArthritis simply means pain in the joints. It has been classified into two types, inflammatory and degenerative, but the fact of the matter is that most sufferers have a bit of both. Both cause pain, and pain killers only increase the problem because they subdue the pain for a while and allow you to use those joints that need a rest, and basically compound the problem. So, what can you do when you have arthritis, regardless of the type? Well, many people have a mixture of degeneration and inflammation, so the answer to what you can do is the same. Let's take a look at the steps you can do to help your arthritis, most of which deal directly with nutrition: 1. For the best arthritis nutrition, take a standard regime of nutritional supplements - especially the essential fatty acids and vitamin C. It would also be good to take Vitamin D if you are not getting enough sun time, as it is essential to prevent osteoporosis. A good source of all of these would be the Moringa oleifera, or "miracle tree"; however, if the actual tree is not available in your area you can use the all natural health beverage Zija, which was made from the tree, and retains all of its healing properties in a convenient can. 2. Find sources and intake such sources for the essential fatty acids. These will feed into the series of immune modulators which tend to reduce inflammation. Fish oil is a common source, but options such as all natural Zija, or directly eating leaves and seeds of the Moringa tree are a tastier, and easier option. 3. Cut out dairy products, and other processed and refined foods for 6 weeks to allow your body a chance to heal. If you do not think you can do this, at least cut back on these products and increase your consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables, and supplement the nutritional areas in which you are lacking. This can be done effectively with one to two cans of Zija daily. 4. Get more trace minerals. Arthritis is common in countries where there is a lack of boron in the soil and rare in countries where it is plentiful. Boron is a trace mineral, and other trace minerals will also help. So, either eat foods that are rich in these minerals, or be sure to drink one can of Zija each day as it will provide you with many of the minerals you need, including selenium, zinc, iron, and calcium. 5. Get plenty of antioxidants. Damage to joints is thought to be mediated by free radicals - these are highly reactive and destructive molecules produced as a part of normal metabolism. Antioxidants mop these up before they cause damage. There are lots of different natural antioxidants or you can find several synthetic antioxidants on the market. Natural is better, and plenty are found in Zija. In fact Zija, or Moringa oleifera is one of the best natural sources of antioxidants available. 6. One way to effectively avoid some pain in your joints is to keep your joints warm. Joints have a very poor blood supply; the oxygen has to diffuse a long way from the blood vessels before it gets into the joint. When there is cold weather the blood supply to the joints is reduced and so the oxygen supply is cut off. This causes a build up of free radicals and therefore pain. It is vital to keep all joints warm! 7. Exercise is also vital. All joints benefit from strong muscles supporting them, so keep fit generally and you will feel much less pain, as well as having other positive side effects.
