How To Stop Your Dog From Barking - Articles Surfing

How about the dog that barks off and on throughout the night? Just when things have quieted down and you have finally fallen asleep, you are jolted awake because your neighbor's dog has wound back up and started barking, again. Have you tossed and turned in bed at night because the sound of a barking dog is keeping you awake?

It is a natural for your dog to bark, it's just when the barking is excessive that it becomes a big problem, and a nuisance for all concerned. Dogs bark for any number of reasons, finding out the trigger that sets your dog off is the key to solving the barking problem.

One of the important things to remember when you have a dog with separation anxiety barking is to make your arrivals and departures very low key.

Stopping your from dog barking doesn't have to be a tricky task. Situations differ with regards to a barking dog. You can train to stop your dog from barking. You must decide when you want the dog to bark. Now that you have decided how much barking you want your dog to do and when, you just take steps in your puppy training to achieve this.

Totally ignore the barking. One of the lesser known ways of stopping a dog from barking is by countering noise with noise.

If your dog barks for more than 15 minutes continuously, or off and on for more than half an hour - especially after you leave the house that may have to do with separation anxiety. This should be treated for speration anxiety before any barking issues are addressed as barking is a symptom of it rather than a result.

Although some barking from is acceptable, too much barking is certainly annoying, especially for your neighbors and eventually leading to complains. One thing that has been known to contribute to excessive barking at night is a lack of exercise. Make sure your dog gets enough exercise. This is one way to start getting his barking under control.

There are increasingly technological methods to training your dog, the more natural methods remain time-tested and arguably more ethical. In very, very extreme cases, an operation can be performed on your dog that eliminates his bark ' you'll just hear a hoarse whisper. That I don't agree with.

On the upside of a barking dog, it is well known and police will confirm that a barking dog is one of the best deterrents for keeping burglars away from your home.
