Imagination At Play: If You Think You Cannot Create, You Are Wrong! - Articles Surfing

Imagination is like a sixth sense and can come natural to most everyone.

Have you ever said 'I'm just not creative'.

What if I told you that you have the ability to excel in your creativity beyond your wildest imagination.

When we are infants and kids, our imagination is always playing and it is on 'auto pilot,' constantly take us on exciting journeys.

Unfortunately, as we grow up (older) we suppress our imagination's "auto pilot" and slowly shut it down. Perhaps because of being busy at work, with the kids and normal everyday life, we end up thinking we are not supposed to have an imagination because we are adults.

This is farthest from the truth.

Do you remember the movie Peter Pan? What happened, near the end when Peter Pan finally lets imagination in his mind to play? Everything had color. He could see so much more and he began to enjoy himself and life.

It is critical to living that you allow your Imagination to play, if for no other reason, because it will allow you to enjoy life so much more. Your imagination will change how much more productive you can be and even provide a spirit in which you can be successful socially or in your business/career.

If you have shut your imagination down it is not too late to turn it back on and let it out to play. It takes only a little effort and the right system (without changing your lifestyle) your imagination can soar throughout your world in a way that will astound your family, friends and yourself.

Try these four suggestions and you will begin with the fuel to begin creating.

The first, make sure you have a positive attitude. Sometimes you have to stop and reflect on how your attitude is expressing itself and a little playful adjustment can change wonders in your world.

Having a great attitude is critical for your imagination to enjoy itself. It is important to position your life so you feel less pressure about your lifestyle. Easier said then done, right?

However, if you can't change your lifestyle to ease some pressure, just tell yourself to be 'cheerful'.

That's right, as simple (and easy) as this sounds, you will be amazed at how being cheerful will impact your life.

Try this for one month. When you wake up in the morning, in a cheerful voice, say good morning to your spouse, kids and of course yourself.

If your day is packed with nothing but work and errands, tell yourself in a cheerful voice (out loud ) that today you are going to do this, this and that - cheerfully. And then go do as much as you can.

You will be amazed on how this will effect your attitude, how positively different the many tasks get done and how much more pleasant you are to be around ' including being around yourself.

The second, (and by no means are these listed in any order of importance) is you must allow yourself to be open to the world to receive the creativity that will come from your imagination.

Ideas will come from anywhere and present themselves to you when you least expect it. You could be at the grocery store, walking you dog in a park, at the mall shopping or driving to work. Being open to the world and what it tells you will provide some very interesting creativity.

The third, you must reflect on what has been given you. In other words, count your blessings and or take inventory of what you have accomplished or achieved.

Also, to assist the imagination at play is to consciously take three minutes out of your day to stop and take notice of the world. It is the world that gives you your ideas so it is important to stop and give it a few minutes.

Also, take time out of the day or week and just stop and reflect. Look in the sky, what's the sun or moon like, notice nature, the air, what trees are around you and are they blowing in the wind.

I am blessed living in San Diego and (at least) three times a week I stop at the ocean and take a five-minute walk along the beach. This is my time to reflect, count my blessings and to take notice of the world.

If you think you can't create and your imagination can never come back, then you are underestimating your capability. With the right system, and without changing your lifestyle, I guarantee your will be astounded at what your imagination is capable of doing can do and how your creativity can soar ' no matter how long since you last used it

Imagination is the greatest gift you can allow yourself to enjoy as it will positively effect everything you do. Perhaps you just need to let your imagination out to play.
