Do You Play the Lottery Too Much - Articles SurfingPlaying the lottery can be fun as a hobby for many. Unfortunately, there are some that take this hobby a bit too far. Are you allowing your lottery game playing to take over your life? Playing the lottery should be fun something that gives you the chance to cash in on a big jackpot. The lottery should not drain the life out of you. Are you having trouble playing your bills because of your lottery playing? Some people put so much of their "extra" money into playing the lottery that soon they are missing bill payments. They rationalize that when that big jackpot comes in, they'll pay everything off. While they may win here and there, the big jackpot doesn't quite seem within reach. They keep playing, putting down more money than they can afford. Then their telephone gets disconnected. They get a notice that the electricity might be cut off. When you are putting so much money into your lottery playing, it just isn't a fun game. Do you miss other activities to play the lottery? Some that play the lottery too much are so determined to play specific games that they will miss a family outing or a son's baseball game just to get that ticket turned in. The only thing that matters to them is playing the lottery. When you can't think about the last time, you attended a fun activity and everything seems to revolve around your lottery playing, perhaps it is time to rethink your lottery games. Have you lied about your lottery playing? Some that play the lottery too much actually wind up lying about exactly how much they do play. Their family or friends may say to them in a half-serious, half-joking manner "So have you played the lottery today?" and perhaps they don't want to tell the truth. Some of these people may be playing the lottery several times a day, different games. They may not want their families and friends to know the actual truth. When you are lying about your lottery playing, it is time to tell the truth to yourself. Do you think about playing the lottery all the time? Some that play the lottery think about it constantly. There is a difference between the person who thinks about it when they are getting off work or perhaps while running an errand, and the person that thinks about it all day while they are at work. Some may fantasize all day exactly what it would be like to get that call about the big jackpot and how it would change their lives. When you daydream, do you only daydream about the lottery? We all have daydreams and many of us fantasize about the idea of hitting it big and winning the lottery. However if this is your only dream, it may be time to examine your lottery playing. Most people have other dreams. They dream about trips they would like to take, personal goals (losing weight, quitting smoking) and personal relationships (love, romance, family) that they want in their life. When the lottery is your only dream, it may be time to have other dreams. The lottery can be very exciting and is very exciting for those who win. What other dream can come true for only a few dollars? The lottery is certainly a dream that deserves a chance to be had, you can always take a chance on the lottery whether once a day or once a week. However when the lottery begins to take over your life and be the only dream you are living, it is time to do some serious thinking. The lottery exists to help make your dreams come true. Even if you won the lottery, you would need to have more than one dream!
