Father's Day Golf Gifts ' Bring Out The Tiger in Him! - Articles SurfingUntil you've experienced the ping of a soundly-struck golf ball and then willed it with every sinew in your body to land in the right spot, you will probably see the game as a pointless obsession taking up acres of green space. Critics joke that golf on the TV is really several hours of shaky televised sky, which is a bit unfair as it's also televised grass, trees and high fashion. But there must be something in it. Why else would people spend every spare hour on the fairways, whatever the weather, attracting lightning strikes like no other sportsmen on earth? All things considered, it's not our place to ask such questions. Golfers probably find your hobbies equally as mystifying. So if your dad is a golfer, Father's Day might be a fine time to give him a little something that will either help his game or remind him of it when he's doing other things ' just in case he's not constantly thinking of ways to improve his swing anyway. The internet is a treasure trove of unique golfing presents, and here is a selection of the best around. Golfers love gadgets. It's a sport that relies heavily on ingenious little devices that enhance the player's experience, and they just happen to make great Father's Day presents, too. Top of the list has to be the golf ball monogrammer, a clamp-like contraption that can print three letters onto all his golf balls so he'll never again get into an argument about whose shot landed in the bunker. A digital scorer and tee set (note: not a tea set ' that's for a different kind of caddy) will make him the envy of all those thrashing him hole after hole. One-off gifts are available that put the recipient's name right in the picture. His name can be digitally spelt out in all manner of golfing scenarios, so calendars, mugs and books can be made in his honour. Jokes and puzzles might not immediately spring to mind in a game whose professionals rarely display much in the way of humour, especially with people who are thoughtless enough to cough or blink as they are lining up a shot. But there certainly is fun to be had on the golf course. Exploding golf balls, anyone? Flat-topped tees? They're all out there. They can even come in a pack with a book detailing golf's wickedest and funniest practical jokes, should he want to expand a little. For contemplative moments, how about a golf-themed puzzle? Releasing balls has never been so much fun outside lottery night. Experience gifts might bring to mind images of driving racing cars or having hot cucumber oil rubbed into the eyeballs, but for golf-loving dads, there are some very appropriate Father's Day gifts. If he's an accomplished player he might like the gift of a round of golf on one of Britain's best courses. Or if he's still climbing the learning curve, a lesson with a professional might meet his needs. If you're not sure what his skill level is, you can go for a choice gift, which lets him decide which of the experiences he would like (or need) the most. So as you can see, for golfing Father's Day gifts, there's an array of gifts that will raise his spirits just as much as a couple of hours in the clubhouse. It's certainly worth a snoop around the net, anyway. Gifts wise, golfing dads are very well catered for!
