First Impressions Count With A Bespoke Shirt - Articles SurfingThe first impression you make should be the best impression you can make, and there is no better way for a man to do that than outfitted in a luxury bespoke shirt. Custom tailored shirts seem to be experiencing a surge in popularity recently, and there are plenty of great reasons why' The best thing about a bespoke shirt is the fact that it fits you perfectly, made specifically to your size and shape. When purchasing a shirt off the rack, you have to choose your size by the size of your neck and the length of your arm, but that has little to do with the size around your chest, across your back, or through your middle. You might end up with a store bought shirt that fits perfectly around the neck but is too baggy across the chest. Bespoke shirts afford you a fitted, polished look, no matter which angle you are admiring. As such bespoke shirt customers find additional costs balanced by increased pleasure and benefit of wearing a shirt that fits them 100% properly. When having your shirts custom made, make sure you are fitted properly. You will want your shirts to fit you without feeling too tight, but also without looking baggy and sloppy. Your custom clothier should know to leave just the right amount of material across the chest or in the sleeves to accommodate your physical requirements while wearing the shirts. As such it is important to choose a tailor that gives good advice when measuring for a custom fitted shirt. The sleeves of your bespoke shirt should be long enough so that if your arms are raised above your head, your cuffs do not ride up the arm. You want to leave a small amount of the cuff visible beneath a suit coat or sports jacket. If you are in the habit of wearing a watch, a custom clothier will be able to make one cuff a little more generous so that the shirt still sits comfortably around your wrist while you are wearing your watch. The cuffs should also be snug enough that it makes it necessary for you to undo the buttons before removing the shirt. There should be enough length to your bespoke shirt that you need never worry about the shirt coming un-tucked when you are sitting down or reaching for something. A custom made shirt should hang just below the seat when at proper length. Indeed it is very important to consider the aforementioned to ensure the measurement and consequent fit is perfect. Furthermore a bespoke shirt should be made of no other material but cotton, and should be single needle stitched. Attention should be placed on cross stitching buttons in place so that they will not come loose or fall off over the life of the shirt. While it may seem a much more costly investment, a bespoke shirt will outlast a store bought shirt (ready to wear / off the peg) and because of the proper fit, be a much more comfortable clothing option. Consider consulting a custom clothier before making your next shirt purchase.
