In the back of your phone book, in the yellow pages, you should be able to find a fairly large number of business listings for local health care providers.

These listings are commonly found under the heading of physicians. What is nice about most phone books is that many categorize their doctors. Therefore, whether you are looking for a traditional doctor, a pediatrician, or a dermatologist, you should be able to easily find what you are looking for.

A standard internet search may not only provide you with the name of a local pediatrician, but it may also link to the pediatrician's online website, if they have one.

Another one of the many ways that you can find a doctor is by speaking to your health insurance company, if you have one. In fact, it may be a good idea to do so anyways. Many of the health insurance companies in the United States have a network of health care providers that they work with.
