The modern history of skydiving began at the end of the 18th century. when stunt performers in France first began doings jumps out of hot-air balloons. Pacific Coast Skydiving. for instance. is just 20 miles south of the San Diego airport. They specialize in tandem beginner jumps. but they also have room on the aircraft for fun jumpers as well.
